1. Class size is limited to 12.
Wednesday age 2 ½-3½ 9:45-11:15 or Thursday age 3 ½- 5 9:45-11:15
Week of October 4 - December 7 - NO CLASS WEEK OF THANKSGIVING
2. Playgroups will meet at the Cushing Building, in Cushing Memorial Park Enter Park at 750 Winter Street, take a sharp left into parking lot. (Brick Building closest to the playground)
Please drive slowly through the park, enter on the Winter Street Side through Keefe School
3. Parents are required to do the following during the playgroup session: (A sign up sheet will be posted)
a. Volunteer in the classroom.
b. Supply a snack suitable for children.
4. Children are asked to dress in play clothes.
5. Please make arrangements for older siblings especially if ill.
6. Let the instructor know if your child has any health problems such as allergies.
7. Please be considerate of other children; if your child is ill, please do not come to class. If the instructor feels there is a chance of other children being infected, you will be asked to take your child home.
8. Cancellations due to weather will be announced at the Park and Rec. Office at 508-532-5962. Playgroup will not be held when Public School is not in session; the instructor will schedule make-up classes.
9. It is the goal of the Park and Recreation Department to provide, through its playgroup sessions, some social interaction for preschool children. A low structured atmosphere will be provided in order to keep the focus on social development through informal play. It is not the intent of the Park and Recreation Department to operate a Day Care Center. Parents must be on time and keep themselves available during the playgroup hours.
